About the introduction of pigmented glass
Green glass: Chromium oxide has a strong ability to be colored green. Under different glass types and different oxidation conditions, it can be colored into a series of colors from cool tones between green to warm yellow-green.
Blue glass: The colorant that can only be colored into a blue hue is cobalt oxide, which can change the color of the glass from light sky blue to blue-green is copper oxide. In the case of a strong reducing atmosphere, the ferrous ion can also be colored blue Green, but the color of iron oxide is light and dark, and it is rarely used in actual production. The coloring ability of cobalt oxide is very strong. The blue color formed is usually called cobalt blue. Cobalt oxide is extremely stable. Adding 0.4% of cobalt oxide can give a darker cobalt blue color (the product shown in our picture) .
Purple glass: The colorants of purple, lilac, and violet are mainly manganese oxides.
Yellow glass: The colorant of yellow glass is cadmium sulfide. Cadmium sulfide is the only colorant that can show bright yellow.
Red glass: The red color is relatively bright, and the colorant is a combination of cadmium sulfide and selenium or cuprous oxide and gold.
